Log debarker can increase productivity with less wood damage. A good debarker can cut over 1,000 gallons of wood a week and cut 12% more fuel than a bare tree in the same area. For a small project, this is an exceptional option. For large projects we recommend a professional hand tool.Tree species that are less susceptible to the effects of tree bark beetles are commonly picked for high use. A large number of trees can be used to create large piles of fuel. 

Choose a species like cherry and cherry pine. Cherry is usually more resistant, but the trees in the cherry pine forests are larger and have better branches to resist the bark beetle. These trees also provide greater support for the large piles.We also recommend a thinning tool called a tree trimmer. We use a small tree trimmer for small projects and larger machines for larger projects.
